This is a collection of photos of my lovely Leila. She was a papillon-sheltie cross that I had from four months old until just before our twelfth year anniversary. I saw her on the local shelter site and asked my boyfriend to adopt her for my birthday. He and my friends all pitched in and I brought her home just before the actual day. I loved her more than I have ever loved another pet. It's fair to say I loved her more than anyone, animal or human alike, with just a few exceptions. Mike, my daughter, my parents and my brother.

I started a memorial page for her on Facebook, a few days after she passed away. I am still coming to terms with the grief. Today is the two year anniversary of her passing and I've already cried a couple times. To say I miss her is a huge understatement. She was my love. But I am learning to cope without her. I'm so grateful to have my partner help me through it.

Below is a collection of the photos and videos I have of her. Looking at them is both painful and joyful, but I treasure them immensely. If you happen on this blog, I hope you see the wonderful joy she lived her life with and brought to me.

In no particular order, here they are. I may try to organize these in the future, but for now I'm just dumping them in.

Leila loved the beach. And sticks.
